Hi,

I would like to see an option in double commander where I can change the actual file display settings in that way, that the extensions of files are shown directly after the filename and not in an extra column. :)

Greetings

You can do it by configuration "custom columns". Use [DC().GETFILENAME{}] for first column instead of [DC().GETFILENAMENOEXT{}] and [DC().GETFILEEXT{}].

Okay, thank you, but how can I change the order of the columns? Via Drag & Drop it's unfortunately yet not possible. For example if I want to reverse the columns attributs and file extension.

You can do it by clicking on the cell in "Move" column.

Unfortunately "Sort by extension" doesn't seem to work that way.

It is fixed in v0.4.6.

I just tried the latest build 3448 (WinXP SP3), no dice :(

To clarify, 1st column is [DC().GETFILENAME{}], 2nd / 3rd are Size / Date. I removed the file extension column [DC().GETFILEEXT{}] and that seems to be the problem IMO. Otherwise its OK.

On a related note, "Auto fill columns" option seems to extend only the last column (Date) no matter if First or Last is selected. I would assume if I want the Name column to be extended I should chose First?

Thanks

It used to work, so it's a regression.

Yes. You need to restart DC to apply this option.
