I would like to know how to show content of directory in brief way. I don't need detailed info about folders and files. Just wanna more columns with names and extensions. Is this mode implemented? It is basic feature of simplest file managers I tried.

in alpha 0.5.5 also you can use Menu :) - Show, Brief.

I am not sure you are right. I am under Ubuntu and changing columns to brief did not help. DC crashed. So I switched to Windows and installed DC 0.5.5 alpha. There is no brief under show menu...

Ctrl+F1 - brief mode
Ctrl+F2 - default
check in shortcuts, maybe not exactly

Your version is too old, install latest snapshot, it has this menu items.

Thanx Alexx

As I am a Ubuntu (10.04) user, is there any chance to have 0.5.5 alpha deb package? On the Roadmap I can see many improvements I like and I can't wait for official release. :)

No, I don't think. But you can use "Nightly builds". It must work under Ubuntu 10.04.
