I can't understand why the default drag operation is a file copy and not a file move, which is much faster when both source and target is on the same drive (same drive letter)? Thanks

Because it is a standard behavior in twin-panel file managers. Move is used in Explorer like file managers.

Except FreeCommander, another excellent dual-pane manager. I would love to use DC exclusively but am finding it difficult to get used to the different key patterns after years of FreeCommander and Explorer. I imagine it would be hard for anyone used to Explorer-type managers to transition, also.

Is there any way an 'option' can be provided for the Explorer-type keying?
